Lyons Straps was founded by Jolene Lyons, a mom trying to find aerial straps to fit her daughter's needs. With a background in sewing, a lot of product and safety research, and rigorous testing, the 1st set of Lyons Straps was created in 2019. In making aerial straps, safety was top priority, followed by comfort, and versatility. As her daughter's abilities changed and grew, Lyons Straps did too. Modifying our straps along the way to be safer, stronger, and more comfortable each time, also ensuring to have them tested for durability with each change.
Aerial friends started asking for straps, and word got out. With the encouragement from close aerialist friends and larger names in the aerial straps industry, who had tried them, Lyons Straps started selling publicly in 2023. Now our straps are used worldwide by artists of all levels, from just starting out, to professionals on stage.
